Width:        10" and wider

<10" and heavier the 1/8" are "Bar Flats" *

SHEET:
Thickness:    Under 3/16"
Width:        24" and wider

STRIP:
Thickness:    Under 3/16"  applies to coil or cut length
Width:        Under 24" 

* There is some overlap between hot and cold rolled strip and hot and cold rolled bar flats.  Besides different methods of manufacturing, there are notable differences in dimensional tolerances.  For further information refer to ASTM A240 and AST 480 or the Stainless and Heat Resisting Steels Product Manual published by the American Iron and Steel Institute (November 1990).
